The Young Judo Club recently organised an inter Club Team Championships with SpitFire Judo Club Folkestone. The event was held at the Club Dojo in East Street Sittingbourne.

This was a win for the YJC although there was some controversy with Danny Carrott who uses both clubs fighting for YJC. After the team event was an individual event results listed below. In the evening there was a Disco for the youngsters which proved very popular, the club intends doing more of these small events to encourage youngsters to enter competitions. A special award was given for throw of the day this was a £10 prize and this was won by Lewis Clarke with a Drop Knee Seoi Nage
The Young Judo Club a Ground Grappling Competition for Juniors and Seniors in the near future all people who do Grappling Styles are welcome. This comp starts on the ground and you win in the case of Juniors by gaining 10 pts Pinning your opponent for 20 seconds gives you 5pts, 15 seconds 3pts, 10 seconds 2pts, 5 seconds 1pts Adults also can gain 10pts for arm lock, leg lock, strangle, choke
