Dear Editor

In last weeks EKG you printed a letter from “Name withheld” criticizing Conservative Parliamentary Candidate Gordon Henderson on his stance on the Kent Science Park and how this government want swamp the South in new houses. Can I say that it is the oldest trick in the book to make a provocative statement and then “I always voted Conservative but now I will vote Labour” or visa versa but to make a statement like this and then to refuse to give there name is not only cowardly but a misuse of the letter’s page. The unknown writer who I would suggest has never voted Conservative, and is most probably a Labour supporter should come forward. In 1997 you would have found many Conservative voter saying that they would never vote Conservative again, now those same people after 7 years of this rotten, corrupt government are now saying what a mistake they made. Is not time that the EKG only allowed letter’s from those who are prepared to have their names published, with the exception being if they are frightened of physical or political reprisals.

Martin Clarke.
