IS POSTER RACIST
Dear Editor
In last weeks EKG Marika Sherwood suggested that it was racist for a Tory poster proclaiming, "It is not racist to impose limits on Immigration" to be outside an Asian owned shop. Does he/she suggest that all Asian people are illegal immigrants? I hope not, some Asian families have been in this country for generation and have become part of the British landscape; a curry is common now as Fish and Chips. Does he/she think that Asian people do not agree with the Tory policy on immigration? If she does she is well out of touch, the Tory policy is for the benefit of all British Subject not just for those of Anglo Saxon heritage. The local Tory party had two Asian candidates in local elections so much for them being racist. Obviously he/she objects to the Tory policy on immigration but it still wrong to try and stir racial and religious hatred because of that objection. I expect most people would not have even made the connection with regard to the poster, Marika Sherwood asks "are you thinking what I am thinking" thank God the answer is no, I take people for what they are and do not pre judge because of the colour of their skin or what religion they are, I would suggest he/she does the same. There is no place for the incitement of racial hatred in our society.
Yours Faithfully
