Corree Thugs

Dear Editor

TV has a big influence on our lives and we are told that the various soaps supposedly mirror in a concentrated form our lives, I do not profess to an aficionado of soaps. Tonight Monday just before I went out I caught the last 10 minutes of Coronation Street this where a couple get married in the 10 minutes I watched this rather fat women who was the bride throws a cycle through a window steals some flowers and fall over, her husband to be and his friends break in to a church, steal the vicars robes and have a struck of vicar perform the marriage vows and to finalise as they drive of they jeer, throws insults at the proper vicar. I am told this family perform capers like this on a regular basis and never get caught.

It seem the programme makers of Coronation Street have captured COOL BRITTANNIA  2005 exactly right a society that makes criminals, thugs, scroungers, druggies, those with no morals celebrities and role models, those of us who work, law abiding and have a sense of moral duty are considered weird.

Can I suggest the next episode “the police arrest the Scum Family and they get sent to prison where they appeal to the Court of Human Rights. They base their case on the fact that the Church should have been opened and they had to break in to perform the marriage, the court agrees with them and awards them a £1 million in compensation. The vicar is sent to prison for life for locking the church, the church is left open and burnt down 12 months later by someone who’s human right is to have a fire, he in turns gets slightly burnt and sues the church under Health and Safety legislation for not protecting him.
